Q: The IRS recently started garnishing my paycheck, how can I stop this?

A: The IRS is most likely garnishing your paycheck because you owe them some money and have not been able to arrange some type of re-payment.

You can stop them from garnishing your paycheck by agreeing to pay them some amount of money each month. The amount you agree to pay them each month should be much less than the amount they are taking from each paycheck.

Before the IRS will agree to remove the garnishment, they will also require you to file any unfiled tax returns. If you need some help filing old tax returns or dealing with the IRS directly in getting the garnishment released, you can call my office for a free consultation.

Q: How long will the IRS offer Tax Amnesty?

A: The IRS has never offered Tax Amnesty!
